Helen G. Tabb

Helen G. Tabb, 89, of Sylvester and formerly of Albany, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Pruitt Health Sylvester. Private funeral services for the family only will be held and she will be laid to rest beside her son Rusty in the Westview Cemetery, in Thomson, GA. Born September 17, 1932, in Colquitt, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Ruby Henley Tabb. Ms. Helen spent her years working as a talented hairdresser and continued to do so for over 40 years until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and making sure her house and yard were always kept up. A loving mother and grandmother she will be greatly missed by all. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rob Will Johnson Sr., son, Rob “Rusty” Will Johnson Jr., and her sister, Kittie Teel. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jack Smith and his wife Judy of Etowah, TN; granddaughter, Jennifer Smart and her husband Lance of Riceville, TN; stepmother, Christine Tabb of Leary, GA; and her 4 siblings, Danny Tabb, Faye Pearson, Lorraine McClung, and Sandy Hodges.
