Holli Anne Reksten, 43, of Mitchell County passed away, Thursday, November 6, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2014 in the Chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Born January 14, 1971 in Albany, Holli, was a former speech and language therapist with the Dougherty County School System. She was currently employed with Dougherty County as a court appointed special advocate “CASA”. She helped many foster children obtain the help they needed while in the system. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Albany. Survivors include her mother, Irene Simpson of Mitchell County; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Simpson of Hilton Head, SC; brother, Roger Reksten of Mitchell County; her life partner, Dr. Ronald W. Harris of Terrell County; her father, Roger Reksten of Minneapolis Minnesota; aunts, Mary McRee of Albany and Tish Sapp of St. Petersburg, FL ; uncles, Chuck Simpson Orlando, FL, Michael and Brian Simpson of Hilton Head, SC; cousins, Mellisa Merritt, Tripp McRee, Katie McRee, Hannah and Charlie Simpson and Todd Simpson. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
