Mr. Irving W. Lindsey, Jr., 74, of Albany, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at his home while surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate. Born April 29, 1941 in Randolph County, GA, Mr. Lindsey was the son of the late Irving W. Lindsey and Bessie Reese Lindsey. He served his country in the United States Army and worked as a heating and air technician for many years. Mr. Lindsey loved spending time with his family, enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Sharon Petty Lindsey of Albany; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Penny Lindsey of Chula; daughter, Teresa Humber of Albany; 3 brothers and sister-in-laws, George and Francis Lindsey of New York, Joseph and Kathy Lindsey and Wilber and Charlotte Lindsey all of Albany; 3 sisters, Virginia Daniels of Albany, Viola McNair of High Springs, FL. and Bell Bowman of Omega, GA; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
