Iva Clarice Shubert

Iva Clarice Shubert, 89, of Albany passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 at her home. Services honoring the life of Mrs. Shubert, will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2009 at Bridgeboro Baptist Church. Reverend Bobby Joe Brown and Reverend Duane Whitaker will officiate. Further funeral services and burial will follow later in the week in Mount Sterling, KY. Mrs. Shubert was born July 13, 1920, in Camargo, KY, daughter of the late Willie and Ella Rogers Baker. A resident of Albany for many years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Church of God of Anderson, IN and had a special love for her grandchildren. She enjoyed flowers and birds and will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, sister and friend. In addition to her parents her husband, William ldquo;Jackrdquo; Shubert; sister, Lela Walsh; and brothers, James Baker and Rodney Baker preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Jones of Albany; niece, Jean (Jerry) Carmichael of Critten, KY; son, Ralph Shubert and his wife, Barbara of Albany; brothers, Maurice Baker of Mayer, AZ, and Lloyd Baker of Bristol, VA; sisters, Gertrude McNay of Mount Sterling, KY and Lois Urmey of Dayton, OH; five grandchildren, Michelle (Frank) Dremel, Wes (Diane) Shubert, Walter (Elizabeth) Shubert, Miranda (Clint) Benson and Beth (Casey) Cooper and twelve great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends following the service at Bridgeboro Baptist Church.
