Jack Richard Meek

Mr. Jack Richard Meek, 62, of Sylvester, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Born May 14, 1954 in Cherry Point, NC, Mr. Meek was the son of the late Fred James Meek, Sr. and Dalma Ree Cannon Meek. He was self employed for several years in floor covering and was a handy man that could fix most anything. He enjoyed racing, working on cars and was certainly an outdoorsman. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Meek was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Meek, Jr. and sister, Phyllis Meek Powell. Survivors include his daughter, Jamie Meek; son, Jack Richard Meek, Jr. of Sylvester; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Penny Meek of Tifton; sister and brother-in-law, Maryanne and Bobby Pelham of Sylvester; several nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be private and you are welcome to contact the family for details. The family will be at the home of Bobby and Maryanne Pelham at 508 N. Isabella St. Sylvester, GA. 31791.
