James Barry 'Jim' Cassar

Mr. James “Jim”Barry Cassar, 60, of Baconton, passed away on September 14, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Cassar will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 17, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church . Reverend Chris Hall, Reverend Fred Collins and Reverend Michael Brown will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Cassar was born on October 17, 1949 in Phil adelphia, PA to the late Harry Cassar and Edith Krownander Cassar. He served his country in the army during the Vietnam Era and was a Corrections officer. He loved playing with trains with his grandson and loved his entire family. Mr. Cassar attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Jean Knowles Cassar of Albany; daughter, Sherri Masterson and husband, Brain of Albany; step-son, George Deaner and his wife, Debbie of NJ; step-mother, Betty Cassar of Orlando, FL and five grandchildren, Brittany Masterson Ashley Deaner, Emily Masterson, Allen Masterson and Joshua Deaner.
