James "Donnie" Barwick

Mr. James "Donnie" Barwick, 78, of Albany, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at his home. 

According to his wishes, there will be no formal services. 

Born June 8, 1946, in Albany, he was the son of the late James T. Barwick and Willie Mae McCracken Barwick. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force where he served in Vietnam. He later started working as a horse farrier, which he did for many years. He was passionate about horses and loved to breed and raise them. A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all. 

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Mae Barwick and his sister, Becky Zirkelbach. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, J.T. Barwick and Michele of Albany; grandchildren, Billy Don Barwick and Samantha Mae Barwick; his sister, Barbara Apon; and a host of extended family members and friends. 

Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Barwick family.
