James Carlton House

Mr. James Carlton House, 82, of Albany, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Eron White will officiate. Interment will follow in the Andersonville Cemetery. Born on October 31, 1928 in Tallulah Falls, GA., Mr. House was the son of William C. House and Sarah Moon House. He served his country in the Marines, retired from Plant Mitchell after thirty-nine years and was an avid fisher. Mr. House was a member of Albany Baptist Church and enjoyed Gospel Music. In addition to his parents, Mr. House was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Sara House that passed away on January 28, 2010; brother, Davis House and grandsons, Jason Franklin and T.J. Adams. Survivors include his daughters, Joey Adams of Albany, Connie Frantzreb and husband, Ed of Atlanta, Sharlene Fleming of S.C., Beckie Gantt and husband, David of M.O., and Jannie Benson and husband, Lamar of Albany; sons, Ronnie House of Albany, Andy Harrell and wife, Susie of Tifton and Ricky Harrell and wife, Tracy of Albany; sister, Janet Pfiffer of Marietta; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
