James Luther Wilson

Mr. James Luther Wilson, 65, of Albany, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2014 at The Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Tift County. Born July 9, 1949 in Deland FL, Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Joseph Luther Wilson and Joyce Parramore Wilson. He worked for many years as a truck driver with UPS and Fire Stone. Playing Golf and fishing were among some of the things he enjoyed, but his main love in life was his family. He was a member of Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church in Tift County and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his grandson, Jace Michael Hester. Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Vickie Wood Wilson of Albany; sons, Ryan and Heather Wilson of Sylvester, Bucky Hunter Wilson of Albany; daughter in love, Amanda and Joseph Hester of Columbus; brothers, Reggie and Carol Wilson of Winston Salem, N.C. and Donald and Vickie Wilson of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Raven, Maci, and Ethan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 – 5 p.m., Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
