James Nolan West

James Nolan West, 62, of Albany passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Services honoring his life will be conducted Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Bruce Gordon will officiate. James Nolan West was born September 15, 1947 in Sale City, GA., son of the late William Howard West and Carrie Mae Walters West. He served his country in the Army and graduated from the Police Academy. Mr. West also retired as parts manager at Flint Equipment Company after 28 years of service. Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Lackey and her husband, Charles of Sylvester and Cynthia Thompson of Sylvester; brothers, W.F. West and his wife, Margaret of Palatka, FL, Gene West and Manning West both of Sale City; grandchildren, Dale Lackey, Ryan Cook, Richard Lackey and Crystin Thompson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Chris West. The family will receive friends following the service at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
