James Thomas Weeks

Mr. James Thomas Weeks, Sr., 87, of Leesburg, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Philema Road Baptist Church 114 Stocks Dairy Road Leesburg, GA. 31763. Rev. Johnny White and Mr. James Thomas Weeks, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Weeks United Methodist Church Cemetery in Norman Park at 2:00 p.m. In addition to his parents, Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn “Doodle” Shivers and Mae Tillman. Born January 11, 1926 in Moultrie, Mr. Weeks was the son of the late Stonewall Weeks and the late Lula Mae Allman. He served his country in the Army and worked for many years as a supervisor with a construction company. He enjoyed gardening, building, mechanic work, fishing and hunting. He also loved to listen to older county music. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Katie Cravey Weeks; son and daughter-in-law, James Thomas Weeks Jr. and Ann of Leesburg; daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Ann Lebleu and Nick of Leesburg and Susan Denise Weeks of Leesburg; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends this evening, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
