Jason James Strickland, 38, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2013 in the Chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Knight will officiate. The family will receive friends following the funeral service until 8:00 p.m. Born August 1, 1975 in Albany, GA, Jason attended The Commons Church of Albany and had worked for Quality Paint for over fifteen years. He loved children, animals and was known as a hard worker. His favorite time of the year was Christmas and he will be truly missed as he spends his first Christmas in Heaven. Jason was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Manriquez and his brother, Johnny “Bubba” Kennedy, Jr. Survivors include his mother, Carol Manriquez of Albany; sister, Lisa Ann Kennedy of Sylvester; maternal grandmother, Eloise Bozeman of Sylvester; nieces, Crystal and Joe Brim and their children, Jacob and Marley Kate of Leesburg and Alisha and Willie Kennedy and children Brianna and Marty of Sylvester; nephews, Kenneth Wade Gay of Sylvester, Nick and Jessica Kennedy and their daughter Ava of Tifton and Chris and Charlie Jones and children, Christina, Whitney, and Elisa of Alabama; several cousins and close friends.
