Jessie Josephine (Glass) Mcgovern

Mrs. Jessie Josephine McGovern, 91 of Albany passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on May 27, 2013. Graveside services for Mrs. McGovern will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Union Cemetery in Rock Creek, OH with Rev. Robin Chaplin officiating. Mrs. McGovern was born January 23, 1922 in Birmingham, AL to the late John Glass and Phoebe Fisher Glass. Mrs. McGovern lived in Ohio most of her life until she retired in 1987 from a career as a Nursing Home Staff Care Giver. Mrs. McGovern was of the Pentecostal Faith. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Along with her parents Mrs. McGovern is preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh Brainard and Frank McGovern. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Dorothy Robustelli of Waterford, CA, Flora Milleson of Phoenix, AZ, and Margie Parker (Larry) of Albany; her sisters, Dorothy Kellogg of Lansing, MI, and Doris Rich of Rock Creek, OH; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.
