Mrs. Jessie Merle Henry, 82, of Worth County, peacefully passed away into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at her home while surrounded by her loving family. Services honoring her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2022, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Siniard officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, William R. Henry in the Dubose Cemetery in Hentown, GA. Born April 29, 1939, in Colquitt, Mrs. Henry was the daughter of the late William E. Meredith and Rosa Cannon Meredith. She worked for Harvey’s for 32 years in the meat department where she never met a stranger. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She enjoyed cooking and was especially known for her delicious pecan pies. She loved watching her son Greg race and was a faithful member of Sunnyside Baptist Church for many years. Survivors include her sons Greg and Tracey Henry of Worth County, and Michael and Kathy Henry of Warm Springs; 3 sisters, Ann Weaver of Blakley, Mary Helen Tilley of Albany, and Edna McCann of Sylvester; 2 brothers, Robert Meredith, and Floyd Gowan both of Bainbridge; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she dearly loved. The family will visit with friends 30 minutes prior to the service at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Henry family.
