Joann (Moore ) Hatcher

Mrs. Joann Moore Hatcher, 84, of Albany, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Columbus. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Mitchell County. Rev. Ricky Griner and Rev. Chris Hall will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Born October 19, 1933 in Arabi, Mrs. Hatcher was the daughter of the late Albert and Lou Alice Cooper Moore. Mrs. Hatcher and her husband Jack owned and operated EL-Lobo Hairstyles for many years along with their son, Ricky. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Mitchell County until her health declined. She will be remembered as a loving and gracious lady who enjoyed serving others. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hatcher was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Aaron Jack Hatcher. Survivors include her children, Ricky Hatcher (Kay) of Leesburg and David Hatcher (Karen) of Columbus; great-grandson that they raised, Tyler Purvis of Bridgeboro; sister, Marlene Hoeflich of Richton, MS; grandchildren, Donald and Ariun Hatcher, Trish and Josh Russell, Bobby Joe Hatcher, Dawn and Mike Cutchens and Chris and Brittany Hatcher and 13 great-grandchildren.
