John A. Harrell

Mr. John A. Harrell, 82, of Albany passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Kimball Cemetery in Anderson City. The Rev. Matthew Harrell will officiate. Born December 13, 1930 in Adel, Mr. Harrell was the son of the late Roy C. Harrell and the late Vernice Jenkins Harrell. He worked for many years as a tractor salesman and in his later years worked in home improvement as a carpenter. He enjoyed watching old westerns and working in his yards. Mr. Harrell was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mrs. Eldora Sellers Harrell and his sister, Juanita. Mr. Harrell is survived by two daughters, Kay and Perry Register of Woodbine, Pam and Dennis Allman of Albany; two sons, Dave Harrell, Rev. Matthew and Elaine Harrell of Leesburg; seven grandchildren, Misty, Blake, Jason, Karrie, Mandy, Lindsey and Ryan; six great-grandchildren and four sisters, Linda, Gwynelle, Faye and Ginga Lee.
