John Elzie Adams, 77, of Albany passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center. At the request of Mr. Adams his remains will be cremated and there will be a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 1512-1 Gillionville Road Albany GA 31707. John Elzie Adams was born April 2, 1932 in Myrtle Beach, SC to the late George Leonard Adams and Ruth Glasgow Adams. He served our country in the Navy, enjoyed playing guitar music and was of the Baptist faith. He will be remembered as a kind man who loved his family and friends. Survivors include his significant other, Ann Houston; step-daughter, Janie Williams and her husband, Jim of Clarksville, GA. and his brother, Ralph Adams and his wife, Beverly of Myrtle Beach, SC.
