Mr. Johnnie Curtis Johnson, 83, of Putney, passed away, Monday, October 27, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Bethel Holiness Church, 4621 Radium Springs Rd. Putney, GA. Rev. Noah Phillips will officiate with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Born March 13, 1931 in Moultrie, Mr. Johnson was the son of the late, Ross and Ethel Turner Johnson. He retired as a brick mason and was a faithful member of Bethel Holiness Church since the mid 50’s. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Our loss is Heavens gain and we have not said goodbye, but we will see you later. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty-seven years, Janet Johnson; two brothers, Calvin and William Johnson and a great-granddaughter, Camryn Johnson. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Brenda Johnson of Sylvester; brothers, Tommy Johnson and Eugene Johnson both of Sylvester, Medford and Clara Mae Johnson of Leesburg, Huey and Sara Johnson of Bridgeboro, Felton and LaFaye of Albany and Richard and Diane Johnson of Albany; sister, Geneva Jenkins of Sylvester; grandchildren, Curt and Rachel Johnson of Yuma, AZ, Nicki and Paul Griffith of Putney and Jarrett Johnson of Sylvester; great-grandchildren, Chandler and Aubrie Johnson of Yuma, AZ and Timothy and Rebekah Griffith of Putney.
