Johnnie Paulette Norris Hembree

Ms. Johnnie Paulette Norris Hembree, 72, of Sylvester, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 2021, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Lamar Lee will officiate and interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, in Sylvester. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral at the funeral home. Born November 17, 1948, in Baker County, Ms. Hembree was the daughter of the late John Wesley Norris and Thelma Cloud Norris. She worked for many years as a cook and was a talented artist who enjoyed painting scenes of barns, farms, old houses, and many other beautiful settings. She was proud to have one of her paintings displayed in every state including Washington, D.C. of which she received a letter back from President Donald Trump thanking her for her gift. Paulette also loved writing poetry. She was a member of Christian Union Church of God in Ashburn. More than anything she loved God and her family and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her sisters, Lydia Bryant, Juanita Hogge, and Maxine Norris. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Robert Parker and Tamara of Magnolia, TX, Laura Carroll and Michael of Vidalia, and Angela Robinson and Bernard of Albany; two sisters, Vera Moll of Sumner and Mary Parker of Worth County; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
