Jon Michael Free

Mr. Jon Michael Free, 58, of Sylvester, peacefully passed away on May 23, 2020. A private family funeral service will be held at Hall and Hall Funeral Home on Tuesday with Rev. Tommy Powell officiating. Born March 14, 1962, in California, Mr. Free was the son of the late William and Shirley Free. He worked in agriculture for most of his life. In his free time he enjoyed trips to the beach, grilling, bonfires, and listening to music. Above all, he loved the Lord and loved his family dearly. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Powell Free of Sylvester; four children, Shannon Merritt (Daniel) of Sumner, Victoria Tucker (Jonathan) of Sylvester, Isaac Albritton of Baconton, Jennifer Hudson of Sylvester; eight grandchildren, Dalton, Hayden, Harper, Ellie Rose, Ashton, Jon, Lexi, and Zack; brother-in-law’s, Rev. Tommy Powell (Jessica), and Donnie Powell (Terry); nephews, Ronnie Powell, Kenny Powell (Michelle); and friend James Ivy. Hall & Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to care for the Free family.
