Joseph “Joey” Aaron Willock, 44, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 9, 2022, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Joey was born October 1, 1978, in Jeffersonville, IN to Mr. Charles “Chuck” Willock and Gerri Handy Willock. He graduated from Monroe High School in Albany where he was known and loved by many. Joey never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He loved watching wrestling, playing video games, and helping as an assistant baseball coach on every team his brother played on as well as the International League and American Legion. He spent many years active in Special Olympic events and absolutely loved to dance. Joey was a true joy to be around, and his absence will leave a hole in the lives of those he knew and loved. A beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Carolynn Hensgen.
Survivors include his parents Chuck and Gerri Willock of Albany; brothers, Shawn Willock (Charidy) of Aurora, MO, and Mike Willock (Danielle) of Leesburg; nieces and nephews, Kierstin Dawson (Austin), Jessica Weatherman, Bryan Willock, Tucker Willock, Ragan Willock, and Porter Willock; great nieces and nephews, Amelia, Ada, Adeline, Charles, Easton, Jameson, and Hazel; Uncle Ted Hensgen; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
