Mr. Kenneth E. Mathis, 75, of Albany, peacefully passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2019, at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Paul will officiate. Born January 25, 1944, in Albany, Mr. Mathis was the son of the late Elkin and Nadine Carter Mathis. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, worked as a crop duster with Powers Crop Dusting and was the maintenance supervisor of SWGA Airport in Albany. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved gardening and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his children, Chris Mathis (Gayla) of Albany, Trevor Mathis (Dana) of Leesburg; sister, Linda Smith (Sam) of Albany; 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Harber, Spencer and T.J. and great-grandchildren, Grant and Elena. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tracey Mathis; brother, Ronald Mathis and sister, Jean Cross. The family will visit with friends following the service. Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Mathis family.
