Leon Preston 'Lee' West

Mr. Leon “Lee” Preston West, 77, of Albany, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at his home. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Lighthouse Ministries in Putney. Rev. Chris E. Turner and Rev. Jack Collins will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Born July 7, 1940 in Sale City, GA, Mr. West was the son of the late Leon and Bernice West. He served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed playing with his grandbabies. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Faye Hall West of Albany; children, Lisa West of Albany, Scott Henley and Teresa of Doerun, Dorothy Shelton and Danny of Doerun and Troy Linville and Karen of Tuscaloosa, AL; sister, Faye Stevenson of Meigs; brother, Johnny West of Albany; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
