Lorraine Pearl (Hatmaker) Denny

April 25, 1925 — February 1, 2015

Mrs. Lorraine Pearl Hatmaker Denny, 89, of Albany, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday morning, February 1, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Siniard and Rev. Bobby Harrell will officiate with interment to follow in the Oakview Cemetery. Born April 25, 1925 in Clinton, TN, Mrs. Denny was the daughter of the late Claude Elmer Hatmaker and Ida Josephine Bayless Hatmaker. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and sewing, cake decorating, quilting and growing African violets. For many years she was a faithful member of Sunnyside Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and was a member of the Jolly Senior Choir. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Denny was preceded in death by her husband, Henry K. Denny. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Reginald and Lynn Denny of Sylvester, Marvin and Luria Denny of Sylvester; daughters, Janice and Tommy Dominey of Warner Robins, Doreen and Michael Arnau of Albany; brothers and sister-in-law, Caspern and Helen Hatmaker of Michigan and Don Carlos Hatmaker of Idaho; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxie and Elmer Trammell, Hazel Davis, Ima Jean Ridenour, Dorothy and Clyde Stephens, Carol Summers and Grace and Ernest Barnes all of Tennessee and Velma and Marvin Poyourow of Alaska; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Pruitt Health Sylvester staff for their care of our precious mother. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
