Margaret I. 'Renny' Hughes

Margaret I. Renny Hughes, 66, of Putney, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Born July 9, 1943 in Gaston County, North Carolina, Renny was the daughter of the late Robert A. Bridges and Helen Bolin Bridges. She retired from Procter and Gamble and then after worked for several years at Miller Brewer of Albany. Renny enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. In addition to her parent’s two brothers, Ralph Bridges and Deaver Bridges preceded Renny in death. Survivors include her daughter, Tonya Davis of Dothan, Alabama; sister, Faye Paysour and her husband, Dean of Shelby, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Crystal Davis and Tabitha Tucker.
