Marshall Barker

Mr. Marshall William Barker, 85, of Albany, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2015 at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Ralph Horne, Sr. will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Born September 7, 1929 in Danville, KY, Mr. Barker was the son of the late Charles H. Barker and Louise Matherly Barker. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and served in The Korean Conflict. Mr. Barker retired from McGregor Golf Company and his passion in life was playing golf. Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his step-son, Zohun Morgan. Survivors include his wife Mary Barker of Albany; daughter, Marsha Ann (Otis) Webster of Cincinnati, OH; son, Michael (Trisha) Barker of Crane, TX; step-son, James Morgan of Albany; brothers, Lester Barker of Cincinnati, OH and Eugene Barker of Texas; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
