Martha L. Lawson, 79, of Albany, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Victory Baptist Church, 1489 Philema Rd. Leesburg, GA 31763. Pastor Robin Chaplin will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Born August 2, 1937 in Hahira, GA, Mrs. Lawson was the daughter of the late Alexander and Irene Brooks Dewberry. She was a homemaker and Godly mother who loved the Lord. She was known each Sunday during prayer request to ask for prayer for her five boys. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Leesburg. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her husband, Irma Lawson and son, Rex Lawson. Survivors include her sons, Mike Lawson, Ricky Lawson, Johnny Lawson, Irma “Jimbo” Lawson and wife, Tonya and Van Lawson all of Albany; sister, Louise Dewberry; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Victory Baptist Church. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.hallandhallfuneralhome.com.
