Martha Lou (Cannon) Unruh

Mrs. Martha Lou Cannon Unruh, 73, of Albany passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2012 at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville. Reverend Robin Chaplin will officiate. Born November 14, 1938 in Manassas, GA., Mrs. Unruh was the daughter of the late, Daniel Levy Cannon and Lois M. Jarrell Cannon. Mrs. Unruh was a homemaker and loved all of her family dearly. She attended the Marine Logistics Base Chapel for many years where she served through the years as a Sunday school teacher and director, VBS director and PWOC member. Mrs. Unruh was active in Scouting for over twenty-five years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Unruh was preceded in death by her son, Charles W. Unruh. Survivors include her husband of forty-two years, Howard Unruh; sons, Carlton L. Unruh of Albany, Gene and Amy Unruh of Springville, CA; daughter, Alicia D. Riley of Albany and nine grandchildren.
