Marvin Lee Kimble

MSGT Marvin Lee Kimble, 89, of Leesburg, passed away, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson. Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate. Born May 21, 1924 in Berry Center, N.Y., Mr. Kimble was the son of the late Herbert Kimble and Mary Grinnell Kimble. He served our country and retired as MSGT from the United States Air Force. He served in WWII, The Korean Conflict and The Vietnam Era. He was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Maxine Kimble; sons and daughter-in-laws, Jerry Lee Kimble of Sylvester, Ken and Jutta VanMatre of Leesburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Dennis VanMatre of Albany and Janet and Rick Harris of Jackson, GA; grandchildren, Richie, Randy, Melissa, Melodi, Jerry, Tracie and Jamie and twenty-one great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
