Mary Barnes

Mrs. Mary Barnes, 94, of Waycross and formerly of Albany, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Waycross. Services honoring the life of Mrs. Barnes, will be conducted at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday June 8, 2010 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Hall will officiate. Mrs. Barnes was born on January 7, 1916 in Gilmer County, GA. to the late William and Addie Hyde Blaock. She enjoyed working with flowers and was a dear mother, grandmother and friend that was very much loved. She was a member of Acree Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Barnes; sons, James and Monroe Barnes. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Wonnie Barnes of Albany; sister, Ruby Loman of Waycross; eleven grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; twenty-six great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will be at the home of Kenneth and Wonnie Barnes at 6119 Dogwood Cr. Albany, GA. 31705 and will receive friends one hour before the service on Tuesday.
