Mary Nell Stone

Mrs. Mary Nell Stone, 92, of Albany, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Joey Cannon and Rev. Randolph Pate will officiate with interment to follow at Lawrence Cemetery in Vanceville. Born December 13, 1924 in Alabama, Mrs. Stone was the daughter of the late Otis and Eva Mae Henderson. She was a loving homemaker that enjoyed cooking and caring for all her family. In her younger years she enjoyed square dancing and camping. She loved gospel sings, her dogs and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Stone; her children, Jesse Chambers and Janet Ramsey and granddaughter, Kerrie Millwood. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James Carlton Stone and Mary of Mitchell County; daughter and son-in-law, Joann Cannon and Wilbur of Albany; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
