Mary S. (Whitehead) Morris

November 20, 1939 — June 21, 2014

Mrs. Mary S. Morris, 74, of Albany and formerly of Douglas and Warm Springs, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014. A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday June 25, 2014 at The Commons Church 3014 Sylvester Road Albany, GA. 31705. Rev. Jonathan Cude will officiate. Born November 20, 1939 in Donalsonville, Mrs. Morris was the daughter of the late William Paul Whitehead and Gladys Hodges Whitehead. She served her country in the United States Navy and obtained a two year degree as a LPN. She worked with RWS Institute for Rehabilitation in Warm Springs and after moving to Albany she attended The Commons Church. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Paula and Rev. Jonathan Cude of Leesburg; Dana Morris of Albany; son, Matthew Morris of Fort Wayne Indiana; four grandchildren, Hanna and Emily Morris of Fort Wayne, IN, Grayson and Emma Grace Cude of Leesburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O’Brien Morris; infant child, Patricia Lee Morris and brother, Kenneth Whitehead. The family will receive friends at The Commons Church on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
