Mary Shader (Shader) Slockbower

Mrs. Mary Shader Slockbower, 64, of Sylvester, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 in Albany. Memorial services will be conducted at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Randall Culberson will officiate. Born November 25, 1947 in Warwick, New York, Mrs. Slockbower was the daughter of the late Ralph Shader and the late Jannie Morgan Shader. She worked as a cook for Children’s Friend Daycare on Mock Road for several years and loved all children especially her grandchildren. She was a talented artist and enjoyed working with crafts. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Shader. Survivors include her husband, Louis Slockbower; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Ronnie Smith and Dorene and Richard Deriemacker all of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Ariel and Logan Watson of Sylvester and Hunter and Landen Smith of Pensacola, FL; sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances and Rev. Randall Culberson of Putney, Florence Holmes of Albany and Elsie Pollock of Smithville. The family will receive friends one hour before the memorial service at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
