Mattie Jo (Frazier) Fleming

Mrs. Mattie Jo Frazier Fleming, 71, of Albany went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 8, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Putney First Baptist Church 1125 Antioch Road, Putney GA. Reverend Tab Howell will officiate with interment to follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Meigs at 2:00 PM. Born May 3, 1942, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Fleming was the daughter of the late William Frazier and the late Martie Fleetwood Frazier. She was a homemaker, enjoyed crocheting and was a faithful member of Putney First Baptist Church. She will be remembered as loving Christian that always had a smile and an encouraging word. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Mr. Guerry Fleming of Albany; sons, Cray Fleming and Drake Fleming both of Mitchell County, Gary Fleming and Lee Fleming both of Albany; sisters, Gladys Banner, Martha Castleberry, Mary Esther Benton, Effie Taylor and Sarah Hendricks; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Putney First Baptist Church.
