Melissa Burger (Burger) Whittle

Melissa D. Burger Whittle, 41, of Sumner, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. The memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Pine Hill Baptist Church, 284 Pine Hill Rd. Ty TY, GA. 31795. Born November 3, 1972 in Dalton GA, Melissa was the daughter of Ted Burger and Rachel Holloway. She loved everyone and enjoyed helping others in need. She was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Ted Burger. Survivors include her mother, Rachel Holloway of Sumner; sons, Tony Burger and Greg Morgan both of Sumner; daughter, Heather Knight of Mayo, FL.; brother, Michael Burger of Sumner; sister, Bertha Comer o f Leesburg; several aunts and uncles including a special aunt and uncle, Delores and Dallas Burger and a special friend Mary Powers of Sumner. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Pine Hill Baptist Church, 284 Pine Hill Rd.
