Millard Norbert Smith

Mr. Millard Norbert Smith, 75, of Albany passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at his home.

Born November 8, 1947, in Pikeville, KY, Mr. Smith was the son of the late Eddie Smith and Elsie Maynard Pinson. He faithfully served his county in the United States Army and Navy. He worked at The Marine Corps Logistics Base of Albany for many years where he worked as an electronic tech. Mr. Smith enjoyed playing the board game Scrabble, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. A loving husband, father, and uncle he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his first wife, Anita Reed Smith and his sister, Mary Maynard.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy Smith of Albany; daughter, Deanna L. Smith and her fiancée, Phillip Lambert of Lexington, KY; sisters, Anita Frantom and Mark, Deanna Smith and Gil Lawson, and brother, Charlie Pinson and Joyce all of Pikeville, KY; several nieces and nephews.

The family is honoring Mr. Smith’s wishes that his remains be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
