Mr. Nolan Edward Conley, Sr., 86, of Albany, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at his home while surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Jim Tillman will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Born January 31, 1929 in Patterson, GA, Mr. Conley was the son of the late John Washington Conley and Nora Griffin Conley. He served his country in World War II in the Army Air Corps and worked for many years in the sheet metal industry. He was a faithful elder with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, enjoyed volunteering and playing music with his mandolin. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. There were no strangers in his world, only friends he had not yet made. In addition to his parents, Mr. Conley was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Lucille Jeffords Conley; grandson, Brandon Conley; sisters, Rosa Mae, Magalee and Edna and a brother, Sid Conley. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Nolan and Dina Conley, Jr. of Coverdale, GA., Kenneth and Recia Conley of Seabrook, TX and John and Kelly Conley of Cypress, TX; daughters, Ruthie Horner of Allen, TX and Sherrie Kreiser of Wichita KS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
