Nolan James Smith

Mr. Nolan James Smith, 54, of Albany, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 3, 2011 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Robin Chaplin will officiate. Nolan was born on April 3, 1956, in Southampton Bermuda, son of John Nolan Smith and Edith Grace Smith. He loved fishing with his sons and attending sports events that his sons were involved in. He will be remembered as a loving son, father, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, John Nolan Smith that passed away on May 16, 2008. Survivors include his mother, Edith Grace Smith of Albany; sons, Jacob Peter Smith and Corey Alan Smith both of Tallahassee, FL.; brothers, Robert W. Smith of Albany, Richard E. Smith and wife, Janice of Columbus and John A. Smith and wife, Stacy of Poolesville, MD. The family will receive friends following the service at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
