Mrs. Opal Logue Canon, 91, of Albany, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Morningside United Methodist Church. Mrs. Canon will be laid to rest at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Anna Miller will officiate. Born November 14, 1926 in Dublin, GA, Mrs. Canon was the daughter of the late Moody and Ethel Scoggins Logue. She retired from civil service at The Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany as a secretary with AFGE. More than anything Mrs. Canon loved God and her family. She was a faithful member of Morningside United Methodist Church for many years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Canon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Elijah Canon. Survivors include her sons, Thomas Wayne Canon of Albany and Randal Roger Canon of Smithville; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Mary Frances Logue of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Tommy Sanford, Brad Canon, Josh Canon and Jacob Canon; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Condolence and Memories may be shared at www.hallandhallfuneralhome.com.
