Penny Draper

Penny Draper, 54, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at her sons residence, 105 Medley Drive, Leesburg, GA 31763. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Penny was born August 1, 1965, in Albany to Billy Jerome Bodiford and Wylene Collins. She spent her years as a homemaker caring for her family. Penny cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She adored her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Nana” and was excited to soon become a great-grandma to a new little one. She was a wonderful mother, Nana, daughter, sister, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Wylene Collins; and her brother, Billy Jo Bodiford. Survivors include her children, Tonya Thrift of Albany, Todd Smith and his wife Brittney of Leesburg, and Donald Draper and his wife Maggie of Leesburg; father, Jerome Bodiford and his wife Robin of Hahira; 7 grandchildren, Jasmine Arnold, Alexis Arnold, Gavin Smith, Tori Thrift, Maddox Smith, Leroy Thrift, and Asher Smith; her siblings, Wendy Bodiford, Sherry Fitzgerald, Billy Bodiford, Ricky Bodiford and his wife Tena, and C.J.
