Philip Joseph Strother, Jr.

Mr. Philip Joseph Strother, Jr., 50, of Albany, passed away from this life on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the chapel of Hall & Hall Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Born on November 1, 1974, in Poughkeepsie, NY, Mr. Strother was an avid sportsman who played football in High School. He enjoyed shooting guns on the shooting range, playing guitar, and his cigars. He was very knowledgeable, always gave good advice, and loved to read. He was caring, funny, loving and a friend to many. He was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Esprit Strother.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Philip Joseph Strother, Jr. of New York; children, Jordan Strother, Serenity Strother, Shonterrious Smith, Katirria Smith, and Dant’e Smith all of Albany; several grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
