Mr. Richard K. Murray, 72, of Albany, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. A time of visitation and a viewing will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Hall Hall Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A native of Albany, California, Mr. Murray was retired from the United States Navy as Petty Officer Class 1. He served 3 tours during the Vietnam Era. He was a Native American Cherokee and enjoyed sharing his Native American Heritage. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and member of The Remaining Few Motor Cycle Club. Mr. Murray enjoyed “The Lakehouse” and fishing, loved his family and was the most unselfish man known to his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Murray of Albany; son, Marcus Taylor of Albany; daughters and sons-in-law, Traci and Christopher Imhoff of Jefferson, Karen and Carl Shepherd of Chauncey and Gail and John Ankney of Beaufort, S.C. ; brother, Alan Morris of Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Butterfly Kisses of Albany.
