Robert Frank Blackledge

Mr. Robert Frank Blackledge, 56, of Baconton, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Jayson Sellars will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service. A native of Albany, Mr. Blackledge was born on April 1, 1960 and was the son of the late Homer Robert Blackledge and Betty Jean Huggins Van Cise. He worked as a truck driver for many years, had a big heart and a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gaynell Baxter Blackledge who passed away on June 16, 2016. Survivors include his sisters, Rebecca (Gerald) George of Clayton, AL, Betsy (Tom) Mock of Asheville, NC and Barbara Blackledge and family friend that was like a daughter, Ann Hitt of Putney.
