Ruby Jo (Teal ) Jones

Mrs. Ruby Jo Teal Jones, 64, of Thomaston, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Mount Hope Baptist Church in Warm Springs. Rev. Joseph W. Jones will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Born March 17, 1951 in Pike County, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Joe and Ruby Riggins Teal. She was a loving homemaker who always had a smile. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, George Franklin Jones who passed away on January 16, 2015 and her father, Joe Teal. Survivors include her son, Gene Phillips (Debra) of Thomaston; daughter, Audrey Phillips (John) of Thomaston; her mother, Ruby Riggins Teal of Thomaston; sister, Joyce Fuller of Thomaston; brothers, Ronnie Teal and Dennis Teal both of Thomaston; step-daughters, Debbie Sue Jones of Manchester, Vickie and Dr. Henry Rutledge of Los Angeles, CA. and Nancy Elaine Jones of Sylvester; grandchildren, Bridget Hamlin (Joshua), Amy Gresham, Christina Phillips, Nick (Nichole) Phillips and Tyler (Jessica) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Able Phillips and Kaeden Phillps; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
