Ruby L. (Sanders) Mcclain

Mrs. Ruby L. McClain, 76, of Albany, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Willson Hospice House after a lengthy illness. Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. McClain will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. The Reverend Tommy Powell, Reverend Corey Shiver and Dr. Clifton Elmore will officiate and interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Born October 29, 1934 in Camilla, GA, Mrs. McClain was the daughter of the late Joseph Gary Sanders and Birdie Ruis. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking and working in her yards. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McClain was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruby Ann McClain and her step-mother, Geneva Sanders. Survivors include her sisters, Pearl Shiver of Camilla and Bonnie Sanders Eatonton; brother, Gary Maurice Sanders of Atlanta; daughter, Diane Herndon of Macon; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of her sister, Pearl Shiver at 414 Watt St. Camilla, GA. 31730.
