Russell Clifton Brooks

Mr. Russell Clifton Brooks, 49, of Baxley and formerly of Albany, passed away, Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Baxley. It was Mr. Brooks wishes to be cremated and for there to be no services. Born February 15, 1965 in Albany, Mr. Brooks was the son of the late Aubrey Brooks and Peggy Justiss Brooks. He was a well loved D.J in the Albany area and was a cabinet maker. He was affectingly known as “ Spark Plug” by many of his friends and family. He was a member of Philippi Baptist Church in Baxley. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brooks of Albany; mother-in-law, Joyce Branch of Albany; daughters, Shanna and Cody Defoor of Ellijay and Leslie and Kim Hurst of Statesboro; grandchildren, Kaycee, Emilee, Jonny, Logan, R.J. and Leevi; sister, Barbara Carter of Baxley; brothers, Byron “Bubba” and Grace McKinnon of Sylvester, William and Lisa Brooks of Doerun and Johnny and Denise McKinnon of Alabama.
