Russell M. Castleberry

Russell Manning Castleberry, 88, of Leesburg passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2012 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Mr. Bobby Marshall will officiate with interment to follow in the Meigs Cemetery. Mr. Castleberry was born December 13, 1923 in Pelham, to the late, W.G. and Donna Hayes Castleberry. He served in the Navy during World War II and was member of Albany Gospel Chapel. He married the love of his life on July 7, 1948 and together they enjoyed life. He enjoyed fishing and will be remembered as a loving husband and uncle. Survivors include his wife, Martha Frazier Castleberry; sisters, Doris and her children, Frances Castleberry and her sons, Allen and Tristen.
