Sandra Imel

The funeral service of Sandra “Sam” Kay Imel, 44, of Sylvester, GA, who passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Palmyra Medical Centers in Albany, will be held Friday, May 22, 2009 at 4 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester. A native of Jacksonville , North Carolina , Sam had resided in Albany for the past 38 years. Sam loved life and lived it to the fullest. A loving mother, a beloved daughter and sister, Sam was a multitude of things to many people. She was a warm-hearted person who would help anyone in need. Sam was a great mother, who gave her all to make sure her son, Lance, would grow up to be a fine Christian man. Sam had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by everyone. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne William Thompson, Jr. and a nephew, Kaleb Ryan Andrews. Suvivors include her son, Lance Wiggins of Sylvester, GA; her parents, Charles and Barbara Wilder of Albany, and Wayne and Mary Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Debbie Andrews of Albany, GA, and Kim Manthei and her husband, Kurt, of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Ricky D. Lawrence and his wife, Kim, and Terry Phillips and his wife, Gail, of Jacksonville, FL; six nieces, Kristan Andrews of Albany, Natalie and Melanie Lawrence of Leesburg, Samantha Manthei of Jacksonville, FL, Amber Tuten of Jacksonville, FL, and Alecia Phillips of Jacksonville, FL; and a nephew, T.J. Phillips.
