Sara Elizabeth House

Mrs. Sara Elizabeth House, 72, of Putney, passed away, Thursday, January 28, 2010 at her home. Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. House will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2010 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with the Reverendnbsp;Eron White officiating. Interment willnbsp;follow in the Andersonville National Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. House was born November 27, 1937 in Mitchell County, daughter of the late Martin Van Buren Gandy and Sally Mae Kirkland. She owned Radium Springs Beauty Salon for many years and worked as a hair dresser for over forty years. She was a member of Albany Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, cooking and working with flowers in her yard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. House was preceded in death by her two brothers, Gene and Van Gandy. Survivors include her husband of forty-one years, Mr. James Carlton House of Putney; sons, Andrew Harrell and his wife, Susie of Omega, Ricky Harrell and his wife, Tracy of Albany and Ronnie House of Albany; daughters, Connie Frantzreb and her husband, Ed of Marietta, Sharlene Fleming of Seneca, SC, Beckie Gantt and her husband, David of Cape Girardeau, MO, Jannie Sadler and her boy friend, Lamar Benson of Albany and Joey House of Albany; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Sunday, January 31, 2010 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Albany Community Hospice at 2332 Lake Park Drive Albany, Georgia 31702.
