Sheila Marie Alston

Sheila Marie Alston, 42, of Albany, GA and Jacksonville, FL, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born November 8, 1975 in Albany, Sheila worked in roofing sales and was known to be very loving and giving. She loved animals and sports and was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her father, James “Jimmy” Edwin Potter. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lee Alston, Jr.; mother, Alice Carey Stewart of Albany; her children, Kristen Smith of Albany, Carey Smith of Jacksonville, FL and Callie Gravely of Orange Park, FL; step-children, Natalie Alston and Jaelyn Alston both of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Jerry Nolan of Baconton and Mitchell Nolan of Bronwood; sister, Sherri Taylor of Orange Park, FL, Shanna Stewart of Albany and Stephanie Matthews and Jessica Potter both of Crawfordville, FL; special friends, Sabrina Steuer, Dawn-Marie Roberts and Jessica Thirkettle and numerous cousins. The family will host a memorial gathering at her brother’s home at 2062 Betty Wise Rd. Bronwood, GA 39826 on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 12:00 noon.
